The Jack Russell Terrier
Jack Russell Terrier is one of the most popular dog breeds

History
The history of the Jack Russell Terrier begins in the UK but

Physical Appearance

varies between 5 and 6 kilograms as every 5 centimetres in height should correspond
to 1 kilogram in weight the Jack Russell has short legs and a slightly
elongated snout although they are small don't let them fool you they have a
strong musculature with a durable build as for the other traits.
They have a slightly elongated snout with black noses and
lips they have a strong jaw which is surprisingly deep and their eyes are small
and dark with a black rim like their nose.
Coat and Color
The Jack Russell’s coat is either short or dense or longer
and rough both types being accepted in the breed however both are waterproof
and they are predominantly white with either black brown or tan markings.
Nature
Like many hunting dogs the Jack Russell Terrier has a bold
active curious and alert character they are very intelligent faithful and brave
despite the small size having so much energy they are very active and love to
play making them an ideal companion for children and active families.
Training
The Jack Russell is a tireless dog so it is important to
have them play and exercise a lot to burn accumulated energy.
The Jack Russell is an excellent working dog they can be
taught techniques related to the land as they are excellent diggers and the sense
of smell makes them great for mushroom and truffle hunting proper education
based on positive reinforcement is essential to ensure.
That Jack Russell Terrier is a balanced and healthy dog
failure to educate them properly can lead to serious behavior problems.
If you do not have an active lifestyle or don't have the
time or patience to devote to their education then they are not a suitable dog
for you
Their education needs to start when there are a puppy making
them socialize with other animals and with the environment around them being a
very curious and active dog it is important to devote time to their walking
needs and to always keep them mentally stimulated start with basic commands but
don't go overboard too early provide 15 minute lessons otherwise they will get
bored and distracted as far as walking is concerned they will need three to
four walks a day possibly alternating the trips the Jack Russell is an
excellent companion dog.
If you provide them with enough exercise it is not the
destroyer dog which many people believe at speed even if not very obedient at
the beginning if you give them time patience and consistency they can be
educated properly however as they are so curious they tend to be quite vocal
being a small dog.
The Jack Russell is suitable for indoor living as long as their
exercise needs are well met for hunting dogs.
Care
If this needs to is not met they can develop behavioral
issues as with other small and medium-sized dogs Jack Russell’s can suffer from
obesity if they dietary requirements are lacking as for they coat the Jack
Russell needs to be bathed once a month or when it is considered dirty they
need to be brushed once or twice a week depending on the length of the code and
the molting season use a soft brush which is moistened before application to
